The University of Mysore‘s picturesque main campus, located in the heart of Mysore City was established in 1916 and it is significant that the ASPIER started the MSc course on the occasion of university’s centenary celebrations in 2016. UOM was the Sixth University established in the country, the very First in the Princely State of Mysore and the first University in India to be assessed and accredited with FIVE STAR status in 2000, re-accredited at A+ level in 2006 and re-accredited again in
2012 with a CGPA of 3.47 at A grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

The campus spread over 350 acres, has a serene atmosphere. The well-groomed trees that surround the buildings and the well laid-out avenues add to the beauty of the campus.

MSC Clinical Embryology & Pre-implantation Genetics is the first course under the specialised programs started by the University of Mysore in 2016.
