Why Asia Pacific Institute of embryology (ASPIER)?
Asia Pacific Institute of Embryology (ASPIER) which is affiliated to the university of Mysore is the sought after institute for learning clinical embryology which offers 2 years MSc in Clinical Embryology & Pre-implantation genetics. This is the first course started in 2015 under the university of Mysore and the only course in the world that offers clinical embryology in combination with pre-implantation genetic diagnosis. Students after graduating from this course will work as embryologists in the Fertility/IVF centres. There are close to 3000 Fertility centres in India including leading IVF chains like Nova IVF Fertility and Indira IVF etc that offer fertility services to infertile couples. Leading IVF chains conduct campus interviews in ASPIER and ASPIER which is into its 9th year of offering this course has a record of 100% employment to its students. ASPIER has been known widely for developing embryology and embryo biopsy skills and hence our students are preferred by IVF centres and validated faster.
ASPIER is led by its director & Professor, a world-renowned pioneer in IVF, Dr Suresh Kattera who has many years of international clinical embryology, research and teaching experience in various IVF centres and universities in India, Singapore, and Australia. He has many world firsts in clinical embryology to his credit. ASPIER has well experienced teaching faculty and state of the art facilities with several equipment in the laboratory, research centre, library and sports facilities; Chess, Carrom, Table Tennis, Badminton and Volleyball which students utilise and actively participate during annual sports events in addition to celebrating various festivals. ASPIER is attached to Mysuru Fertility Centre, a state-of-the-art IVF centre which has Singapore expertise & technology like Time Lapse embryo culture etc. Students who will be posted in the IVF centre learn from the best in the world to shape their future.

Course eligibility: Students of Bachelors of Science (B.Sc) degree from any UGC recognized Universities/MBBS/ BDS/BAMS/ BHMS, Pharmacy, Nursing, BVSc, Dairy, Fishery and Engineering with Science (Biotechnology and Life science related) or any other equivalent degree are eligible to apply for this course.
ASPIER
ASPIER imparts knowledge in Clinical Embryology and Pre-implantation Genetics through certificate and master courses. ASPIER offers the first course in the world that combines clinical embryology and pre-implantation genetics in a two-year course affiliated to the University of Myosre. More than 500 students have alreasy taken up the course and have become certified embryologists.

ASPIER Wishes World IVF & Embryologist Day
Asia Pacific Institute of Embryology (ASPIER) celebrated 46th world Embryologists and IVF day on July 25th, the day the first IVF baby Louise Brown was born. It has been 46 years since her birth and the field has grown in leaps and bounds.
Dr Suresh Kattera, Professor & Director of ASPIER cut the cake on this occasion who started his career in this field 41 years ago who is one of the pioneers in this field having many world-firstachievements to his credit.
He has developed and modified new techniques and one such is in micromanipulation; Rescue ICSI and microsurgical enucleation which has helped ASPIER students develop their skills in ICSI and employing these skills in the IVF centres. Many countries around the world follow his techniques and practice. Dr Suresh who is passionate about teaching embryology has led to the establishment of ASPIER and MSc course in Clinical Embryology &Pre-implantation genetics almost 10 years ago and has taught and trained more than 1000 students.
